Sand into Glass

Concepts

With my ideas I took into account the theme of materiality and moved it towards the idea of changing states which is the basis of Alchemy. 

Within my first concept I used the idea of turning sand into glass, but by reversing this process I can show a difference within the materials of that plane.

My second concept is like contorting the flow of ink under water and compacting it into a solid from and breaking that form apart showing the change between states.

The third Idea is based off of the rose picture and how it floats up and then slowly breaks away changing the pool that it was first constructed from state.

With this image I liked how it was able to take form of living creature within the confines of materiality of nature... and how it had a set balance of theme of being within the base element of water.

This I liked how the idea of showing something that is just not set in the right place.. ,maybe this rose could have been used for a substitute for the sun, becoming within a different point of view of that it is within the circle of light or just to alter the confines of the material world.
