Setting my scene... Tea party room

Looking at various different types of Tea parties and such...

Material

My material was chosen as a ceramic doll, even though it is an object that represents a physical form I have decided to change that basis and remove the dolls face and only representing expression through motion and setting.

Though I did look into so design and clothing types ceramic dolls and how they age over time.

I also looked at Alice in wonderland return to madness and how their ceramic dolls functioned and worked...

Automatons and clockworks

With this I am looking into the idea of having a object that was meant to represent life in a lifeless form i.e. a doll, but then I am giving life to it through the form of clockwork.

I began to look at the mechanics of clockwork and various types that were available.

After I looked at images of clockwork and such I started to look into gears and such that are used within real life mechanisms.

Once I had gone through this I started to look into Automaton

The word "automaton" is the latinization of the Greek αὐτόματονautomaton, (neuter) "acting of one’s own will". It is more often used to describe non-electronic moving machines, especially those that have been made to resemble human or animal actions, such as the jacks on old public strikingclocks, or the cuckoo and any other animated figures on a cuckoo clock.

Here is a video on Clockwork Automaton

Extra Processes I forgot mention......

When I was going through creating my animation there were so many possibilities and directions that I could have gone.... At one point I had used the lightning dynamic to create a sort of six pointed star adding to my theme of alchemy....

I had also tried working with fluids to create the liquid filling the vessel below, but was unable to make it work correctly and had to slightly cheap by using movement and a displacement map upon my translucent texture....

I had worked on trying to find out all possibilities within Dynamics like shatter and smoke though I was unable to figure them out... On a side note my render continued to render when I had canceled it... and that saved me as my other render was done in perspective.... so lucky..

Render no sound...

Render 720

Destructive Alchemy

These are screenshots taken every 100 frames from my animation that is part of the more completed side to it....

These were screenshots taken to see how the process of my animation was going and to get the feel for the rendered particles...

Destructive alchemy Process

Collective images of my process to my current point in creation.....

+++Crystal Flame+++

At this point and process I was looking into playing with the dynamics and effects that were available..

+++Trial Testing+++

This a was a process of trying to create my final model which had to be done a long period of time... At some points I wondered whether I would be able to create what I had envisioned... I had tried using fluids but to no avail, so I used the clever idea of creating the illusion of fluids using a displacement map with an image set....
